Now That You've Purchased Item Upgrades ... Now What?
WoW Item Upgrades
The most commonly used term for item upgrades is "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces, increasing their effectiveness. These upgrade item s increase the gauge of an item by a certain number of points. Their costs scale depending on their rarity.
The melee PvP scene is extremely reliant on the perfect roll of the armor for its ability to minimize weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can increase the effectiveness of an item, enhance its strength or give it an added benefit. They also affect the appearance of the item. While certain upgrades are universal, other have special rules for weapons or armor. A bad upgrade can destroy the weapon that was previously amazing, or even render it useless.
As a general rule you can only upgrade the equipment you have to the level of its highest-level counterpart. This means that you are able to upgrade the helms, body armors and gloves and shields to the level of their most elite counterparts. Weapons however can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this doesn't increase the weapon's damage output and can decrease its trade value.
You can upgrade an item by using crests or flightstones. The amount of both depend on the level of the item and slot. Upgrades to a sword, for example will cost more flightstones than an upgrade of the cloth. You can also get discounts on the number of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the item's Tier level one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It may take different upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any procedures that might be used to mount a disk shouldn't be running during an upgrade. In addition, you must ensure that the upgraded disk is not used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a function that lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. It is possible to do this at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This procedure does not add gems or rune slots to the equipment, however it does alter the size of the equipment. It makes the equipment larger by the size two categories smaller. For instance, a Stormtrooper armor is Medium, and the Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades which can be applied to any type of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrade components are usually random drops, but they can also be gathered through side quests. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They can also be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that are not likely to develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade differs from medical internal technology which is designed to restore the natural capabilities. It is rather the beginning of an upgrade process that transforms civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade may be long and complicated. The process can be divided in two categories one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
It's similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually because of operational issues such as overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal the reason could be to transfer guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not intended to be a sarcastic comment however, given the current situation, it could be difficult to avoid.
Unlike Runes, Sigils and Jewels that are only applicable to specific types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. Additionally, they can be applied to a variety of items at once. They are therefore more adaptable than other types of upgrades. However, this flexibility can cause issues when upgrading items within the same gear path because it increases the item level of all pieces in that path.
Before you upgrade, it's important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then you can install the new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command or Unblock-File. To make sure that your PSU server is operating properly you must also conduct a basic validation.
Jewels
Jewels are upgrades that can be inserted into armor, weapons and other accessories. The reagents and gems used to create them can provide different stat bonuses as well as secondary effects. They are found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can also be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or karma. Jewels can be crafted using a jewelry table by using five of the same reagent type and one gem to create an item with an upper or lower tier. This process is similar to upgrading a stone on a gemcrafting desk.
Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they have and higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it's, while the secondary effect is randomly generated and players can make use of luck potions to increase the chances of having better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items with matching sockets as with other upgrade components. For instance Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, however the Garnet Pebble will only increase regular hits while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strong attacks. Jewels can be put into all tiers of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets of rarer or exotic nature that require an unused slot.
As with other DM mechanics, gems can help to keep items feeling special to their owners. Through offering a variety of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to modify their equipment and choose the combination that best suits them. They can also upgrade their existing gear with new jewels if the original set of a particular kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to increase the item levels of weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current level of items from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some have special effects. (For example Dolphin's grace gives swimmers the same grace as dolphins). Players can obtain these upgrades at any upgrader NPC, or by rescuing them from items containing them, with various types of items dropping different upgrade components.
The process of upgrading may be a bit complicated however, it's a simple process. The player first selects the item he wants to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will open with the different upgrades available for the item. The window will display the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level will be displayed in an upper bar on the top of the screen. the bonus type for upgrades is shown below it.
The user will have to bring the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player must then provide the correct currency and, if necessary additional materials. These requirements are based on the level with weapons generally having higher requirements than armor.
In addition to the necessary upgrade components, many upgrade recipes also have an 'Acceptable Materials' list. This list shows what other upgrade components are available on the item, as well as a flag indicating whether that item can be guaranteed to boost or extra effect. This is important to know because the value of an upgraded item can vary greatly based on the extras it comes with, with properly rolling gear worth a lot more than non-upgraded versions.
The list of upgrades that require crests or valorstones will be shown separately below the main list. The crests and valorstones needed depend on the item level that is required, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
